"... we all had a superb night. The Detonators are quite rightly acclaimed as one of the finest blues to R&B bands in the country. Apologies to the band for not remembering everyone's name, but we were concentrating on the music. As a general note it would good to hear the keyboards played mainly in the piano format rather than the organ mode. The piano was extremely well played always crisp, sometimes light or heavy, boogie woogie or midnight smokey blue style, excellent blues. The sax was also a very welcome addition and was used wisely throughout the show. James O'Hara always delivers a good account of himself on lead guitar and the job was completed by the determined drive of drums and bass.  We will have these lads back soon and at £6.00, it was good value."
