Lusty Glaze Beach and Movinmusic Blues Agency would like to announce that the second "Blues on the Beach" festival will take place in either late July or August at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, Cornwall. The very first "Blues on the Beach" @ Lusty Glaze was a great success. Almost a thousand music lovers enjoyed the evening's entertainment provided by the Marcus Malone Band, the Hothouse Playboys and the Blackfoot Brothers. The night ended in high spirits with revellers dancing on the beach as Marcus Malone strutted up and down the stage front wielding his guitar.
The name ‘Lusty Glaze’ is derived from the Cornish for ‘A place to view blue boats’. Lusty Glaze is privately owned and managed and is one of Newquay’s finest tourist beaches, and also offers an unsurpassed range of beach based activities with many of them being unique in the UK. This beautiful cove is naturally sheltered by high cliffs providing the geography to host a perfect adventure playground on land and in water for all ages and abilities.
In recent years, the beach has undergone a total refurbishment and development programme and now boasts probably amongst the best facilities in the UK. Whether you are a day or resident visitor to the beach or activity centre you will enjoy facilities such as: 450 space Car Park, Mediterranean Style Restaurant, Beach Bar and Sun Terraces, Children’s Crèche, Shop, Hire Shop, fabulous Toilets, Café, Shower and Changing Rooms, Evening BBQ and Beach Huts.
The 2005 line-up will be announced early in 2005 in the press and on this page so check back then for a full up-date.
